Ms. Damaris Gitonga is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 20 years’ experience and a Certified Public Secretary. She is also a trained mediator and Trustee. She largely practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law. She also provides consultancy services in Policy and regulatory reforms and corporate governance.
She has previously worked as an In-house counsel and Manager Legal Department at National Bank of Kenya and Legal & Corporation Secretary at National Water Conservation & Pipeline corporation. She has also worked at the State Law office as a State Counsel, Registrar’s General Department. She has served as Chair of a corporate Board of Trustee for a Personal Pension Scheme and a Unit Trust fund respectively.
Damaris has a keen interest in leadership and management and is undertaking an MBA at the Strathmore Business School. Ms. Gitonga is the Board Chair of Echo Network Africa(ENA) and a Board member of Democracy Trust Fund(DTF).
