The Democracy Trust Fund (DTF) is an independent initiative of the Echo Network Africa Foundation (ENAF),established to strengthen women’s leadership and participation in democratic governance in Kenya.

Registered as a Trust on 9 December 2019, DTF operates under its own Board of Trustees and a dedicated Secretariat, providing strategic leadership and institutional oversight.

DTF takes a long-term, continuous approach to advancing women’s leadership by addressing the structural and systemic barriers that limit their participation in governance and decision-making.

Through leadership development, mentorship, capacity strengthening, strategic partnerships, and sustained support, DTF identifies ,prepares, equips and positions women to participate effectively in democratic processes and to influence policies, institutions, and governance systems that are inclusive, representative, and accountable.
