ASPIRING: Woman Rep’ –
Kisumu County
COUNTY: Homa Bay

Dr. Joyce Atieno Osogo gears to be the next Woman Representative for Homa Bay County. She is leveraging on her experience in Kisumu county as the outgoing Minister for Roads, Transport and Public works. Prior to this assignment, she was a Senior Lecturer Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science & Technology. She also serves as a Research Panelist at the University of Nairobi, Kenya.

My political agenda

  • Championing for functional sub-county offices with the representation of PWD desk, Youth desk, and Women desk in each and every sub-county in Homa Bay county
  • Improvement of Educational level through equity & equitable distribution of bursary support.
  • Improve the status of Early Childhood Development (ECD) infrastructural facility and feeding program augmentation.
  • Champion women’s health & improved livelihood through advocacy for NHIF, Linda Mama program.
  • Empowerment of SMEs through capacity building
  • Management of business skills
  • Management of profits and increased access to awareness of capital access
  • Conservation of modern markets 1 per sub-county.
  • Construction of Fish bandas to support fishing and operation activities of Youth and women, particularly in the Lake region.
  • Support youth sports initiatives.
  • Supporting & improving climate change through environmental conservation.
  • Diversify Youth innovations through training and improvement of skills acquired through vocational training centers.
  • Championing women & Youth table banking activities
  • Supporting PWD’s initiations to improve their socio-economic well being
  • Improving administrative structure, transparency, accountability services, and objective service delivery with NGAAF allocation.
