Dr. Stanley Kamau Maina, HSC, EBS, is the Founder of Ahadi-Kenya, an organization, championing the rights of children & women, people with disabilities & those infested with jiggers through the provision of medical supplies and access to medical facilities; access to clean water; sustainable livelihood; training and rehabilitation. He has been recognized by the ministry of Health for outstanding performance in intervention, prevention and control of jiggers in Kenya and was awarded for founding the anti-jigger initiative in East Africa. Dr Kamau who is a Board of Trustee for Democracy Trust Fund (DTF) has made outstanding contribution in addressing the plight of the less vulnerable in society through Ahadi-Kenya.
He has been appointed Goodwill Ambassador for gifted and talented children in East and Central Africa by The International Center for Innovation in Education (ICIE). He also got recognized by the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government for spearheading community policing in Kenya. He is a recipient of Leadership and Management global Award:2009. Within Public Service and National development, he has helped formulate the National Policy Guidelines on Prevention and Control of jiggers. He has also helped facilitate the implementation of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by the government and the registration of both Linda Mama and NHIF.
In terms of capacity building, he has helped formulate critical training guides including for physically challenged persons and one for the prevention and control of drug abuse amongst the youth. He has also helped create livelihoods for poor households by initiating empowerment projects.
