I Jane Kibati seek the office of Woman Representative, Kitui County. I take great pleasure in public service and endeavor to bring change in people’s lives through development.
I am a qualified social development worker with post-graduate qualifications in Sociology.
I have worked in the Non-profit sector as a Projects Officer and Programme Manager for over seven years and served as a volunteer County Secretary in Maendeleo Ya Wanawake.
I also sit on the Board of Caritas, the Catholic Diocese of Kitui, where we provide stewardship to the organization. I served at the Board level from 2007 to 2017 in State Corporations including as a board member for Kitui County land management Board between 2015 – 2017.
My educational background:
I currently work as a consultant.
Apart from the legislative role, training women on land rights and succession matters and linking them with pro- Bono lawyers to stand in for them in times there are complicated matters.
Promote good eating habits for good health and by encouraging small kitchen habits,
Conservation of our environment: Use Green energy cooking jikos to minimize pollution plus better ways of disposing of our waste. This will be done in partnerships with like-minded organizations.
Promote small businesses for improved livelihood through training/capacity building
Promote youth in skills development in collaboration with TVET institutions and others that are compliant with government regulation.
