The Democracy Trust Fund (DTF) is an independent initiative of the Echo Network Africa Foundation (ENAF) dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and democratic governance in Kenya. Registered as a Trust on 9 December 2019, DTF operates under its own Board of Trustees and a dedicated Secretariat.

DTF addresses the structural and systemic barriers that limit women’s participation in leadership, governance, and decision-making, advancing inclusive, representative, and accountable democratic institutions.

DTF delivers its mandate through five strategic thematic areas:  Building a Participatory Fund for Women , Civic and Electoral Education, Advocacy, Research and Policy Influence, Resource Mobilization and Strategic Partnerships, and Institutional Capacity and Organizational Growth. Through these pillars, DTF identifies ,prepares, equips and positions women to participate effectively in democratic processes and to influence policies, institutions, and governance systems that are inclusive, representative, and accountable.
