Democracy Trust Fund women in political leadership

ABOUT DTF

Promoting Women’s Pathway to Leadership in 2027

DTF is an initiative of Echo Network Africa Foundation (ENAF) dedicated to identifying, preparing, and positioning women for elective and appointive leadership.

We are on a mission to dismantle the financial and structural barriers that hinder women’s participation in governance. As we look toward the 2027 General Election, our focus is clear: ensuring women don’t just run for office, but have the resources and training to win.

Our strategic thematic areas include:

  • Establishment of a Participatory Fund
  • Provision of campaign education and capacity building
  • Advocacy, lobbying, and research
  • Resource Mobilization
  • Institutional capacity building and growth
